In January of 2011 I made a commitment to spend the year pushing my creative boundaries and share that process as honestly and openly as I could. This book is a catalogue of that journey. I hope it shines a little light on the joy of being an artist and the roads we travel together as human beings no matter the distance that separates us. For my international friends, orders can now be placed here.

This is not a single project based class, but rather, a journey to help each student build a piece of work that is relevant to them and their experience of the universe.
Join us with an open mind and a willingness to discover!
Our first offering of this course will be in Atlanta, GA, October 10-13.

Crash Course in Copper Metal Clay(DIGITAL FORMAT)
By Wanaree Tanner
After two years, I’ve decided to retire this workshop and make the class handouts available for download. While it’s not the same as taking the class, it is a good way to get you started, as I’m sure there are folks out there that may not have the opportunity to attend a live workshop. These PDFs are full color presented in a step by step format similar to what you would see in a book. Included are these three project, along with all the firing guides, tips, and tricks. I hope they can help establish a foundation for your work in all the different metal clays, and not just copper. As always, remember to have fun, this is art not standardized testing!

New Metal Clay Possibilities using the Silhouette CAMEO
In early 2012 I began exploring the possibilities of using this amazing (and affordable!) electronic cutting machine with metal clay. Now I’ve been given the chance to present all my basic beginner tips and skills through Alison Lee’s fabulous online learning platform CRAFTCAST™.
What does that mean? It means you can download everything you need to get started using the Silhouette cutting machine right into the comfort of your own home. I demonstrate how to roll out your own metal clay sheet, making texture plates, designing on the software, going from sketch pad to cut clay, making stencils, engraving directly onto metal clay, layering, and loads more. This is a full one intensive 90 minute class geared to get you inspired and confident with this incredible machine!
